when you win, you make a speech
thanking the ones who supported you
you’re supposed to be humble in your poise
you’re supposed to smile
there are some trophies you earn
that never have a ceremony
no round of applause
does success still count
if there is no fanfare?
at what point
does a table for one
fill a room?
Yes, it still counts. Nice work.

Many times in life, we find ourselves taking a humbling bow for a job well done, without all of the fanfare and adulation. In our hearts, we know that we made a difference.

Indeed, there are trophies you win alone. Not all victories are public. Some of the more private ventures are worth far more than the ones you share.
